Cancellation Policy

We have a 24hr cancellation policy. If a client cancels within 24 hours of the appointment they will be billed 50% of the appointment. In addition, if a client fails to show up for a booked appointment, the client will be billed 75% of the total cost of the service or group of services.
For larger groups of 5 or more, if the client cancels with less than 3 days notice they will be billed 50% of the groups’ appointments. If they fail to show up for the appointments the client will be billed 75% of the groups’ appointments.

Whisper Policy

As part of our commitment to the evolution of  your well-being. We ask you our valued Guest to respect our whisper policy while taking part in the water journey. We intentionally wove silence into the curation of the Water Journey in order for you to fully benefit from the rejuvenating effect. Please respect this space by whispering when needed. We encourage you to use this contemplative opportunity to explore the benefits you experience when you journey inwards.  As Lao Tzu so concisely stated  “Silence is a source of great strength.”

Spa Etiquette

At the bodhi spa, we have set out to bring you an environment where the highest levels of skin and body care are provided along side Newport’s premiere hydrotherapy circuit, to nurture the well being of mind, body and spirit.

It is our goal to make a difference in the lives we touch by offering the highest level of service by trained professionals in the most relaxing environment for our clients. To ensure this, please take a moment to review the policies below.

Quiet Policy
Please respect the right to a quiet atmosphere for all guests. We ask that you refrain from talking loudly in the spa and speak only with a soft whisper voice while enjoying your time at the spa. We treat this space as a sacred healing space and honor all guests who come for various reasons from healing to pure relaxation.

We recommend scheduling your appointment as far in advance as possible to ensure availability. To accommodate your desired appointment, a credit card is required at the time of booking to guarantee your reservation. Gift certificates may also be used in lieu of a credit card to hold your appointment. We hold this information as part of our cancellation policy and will only make necessary charges to your account on the date of your scheduled service. Details of our cancellation policy are provided below.

*Please notify the spa coordinator of any allergies or sensitivities to aromas or ingredients when you schedule your appointment.

We recommend arriving 15minutes in advance of your appointment to allow time for you to change into a robe, complete our Client Intake Form (if you did not complete it online), and relax prior to your service. Being on time for your appointment is greatly appreciated so that you may receive your full service and our other guests are not inconvenienced.  Arriving late to your service will impact the length of your treatment, and out of consideration for the next guest’s appointment, your service will end at the time originally scheduled. The value of your full treatment will be applied.

Cancellation Policies and Fees
Your spa treatments are reserved especially for you. We value your business and ask that you respect the spa’s scheduling policies. Should you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance of your appointments.

Any cancellations with less than 24 hours of notice are subject to a cancellation fee amounting to 50% of the cost of the scheduled service. Clients who miss their appointments without giving any prior notification will be charged 75% of the scheduled service. We recognize the time of our clients and staff is valuable and have implemented this policy for this reason. When you miss an appointment with us, we not only lose your business, but also the potential business of other clients who could have scheduled an appointment for the same time. Additionally, our staff may be traveling to the spa specifically for your service. For these reasons, we are obligated to compensate our staff for their time.

Communicating With Your Service Provider
Most guests find that silence enhances the tranquility of a massage, however we encourage you to communicate with your therapist before the treatment begins, and at times during, to provide feedback about the amount of pressure or areas of your body that need special attention.

Refund Policy
All service sales and gift card sales are final.

Retail items can only be refunded if unused, in its original packaging, and presented with a receipt within 14 days of purchase.

Gratuity is not included in the price of services or spa packages, customary tipping runs at 15% – 20% but is, of course, at your discretion. You may tip the therapist in the room or upon check out at the front desk with cash or credit card. We do not accept tips for The Water Journey experience.

The Water Journey Space
·         Admission to The Water Journey is separate from treatment prices, however when booking any service, you can receive The Water Journey for half price.

·         Appropriate swimwear must be worn at all times while in The Water Journey.

·         No outside food, beverages or alcohol are permitted in The Water Journey room.

·         As per the Rhode Island Department of Health code, it is required that you shower thoroughly with soap before entering The Water Journey circuit.

·         There is no time limit on your Water Journey experience. However, in and out privileges are reserved for membership holders only.

Age Requirement Policy
Spa guests must be 16 years of age or older to use The Water Journey space or to receive treatments without the approval or accompaniment of an adult.

Cell Phones
To preserve the bodhi spa’s tranquil environment, we respectfully request that you leave all electronic devices turned off.  We encourage a digital detox while at the bodhi spa.

Gift Certificate Policy
Unfortunately, we are unable to process any returns or reimburse any payment transactions on gift certificates. Gift certificates cannot be redeemed as cash. Gift certificates may be used in lieu of a credit card to hold your reservation. Gift certificates are 100% transferable.

We do not place memberships on hold and we are unable to process any returns or reimburse any payment transaction on any spa memberships.

Drug and Alcohol Policy
When you come to visit the bodhi spa, we honor the healthiest version of you. The Water Journey is a space where you sweat and detoxify your body. To compliment your experience, we strongly encourage you to replenish and stay hydrated with as much water as possible during your visit.

We make it a priority to provide a comfortable, relaxing, and safe experience for all of our guests. Please abide by all bodhi spa policies, safety warnings, and notices. We have short-term first aid available, which any spa attendant can assist with. Guests who require special assistance should be accompanied at all times during their stay or services. Weapons of any type are not permitted on the property at any time.

Confidentiality and Privacy Policy
We believe that every client has the right to privacy and confidentiality. The conversations you have with your therapist will remain confidential, as will all information on your client intake forms.

Client lists and email lists are confidential. We do not share our client lists with outside companies.

Other Important Tips For Your Visit

·         Remember to drink water before and after your services, and throughout your stay.

·         We provide robes, towels, appropriate footwear, complimentary cucumber water & tea, basic toiletries, and hair dryers so you can leave the spa ready for your next event. If you have preferred toiletries and cosmetics, we encourage you to bring them and keep them in the locker provided.
